Pastor Micah grew up in Conway, South Carolina and graduated from Conway High School in 1985. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After leaving the army, he eventually moved back to Horry county and surrendered his life to Christ on November 8, 1995. Approximately six months later, he felt the calling of the Lord upon his life to preach the gospel. He married his wife, Donette, in 1998 and began pastoring the Bread of Life Tabernacle in January of the year 2000. Since that time, he has led our congregation with an humble spirit and is very passionate about seeking lost souls for Christ. His sense of humor and positive outlook on life has been a motivating factor in the success of this ministry. Even through the difficult struggles our church has endured, his diligence and faithfulness to Christ has encouraged the congregation to "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" as referenced in Philippians 3:14. After a sleepless night in 2006 and being employed as a bus driver for the public education system, Pastor Micah followed the leadership of the Lord and opened the enrollment to our Christian Academy. He and his wife currently serve as administrators at our school. They both believe strongly in investing in our youth. In 2014, property was purchased and given the name of Camp Victory. It was originally purchased for camping and fellowship. However, in 2019 after building three separate buildings and spending lots of time there, Pastor Micah led our congregation into the decision of moving all of our operations to this property full time. On January 6, 2020, Pastor Micah was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree for his dedication to studying the Holy Bible and serving the Christian faith. Pastor Micah has two sons, Jeremy and Kenneth, and four grandchildren.
